What to Plant Now
Apr 30th, 2011 | By Cecilia | Category: Grow Something, spring, summerIn May, when the majority of gardeners in states north of the Mason-Dixon line are just planting their spring vegetable gardens, those of us in Texas and points south have been there and done that and have our sights set on summer.
While it’s a little late for many southwest and southern gardeners to plant tomatoes (although if you can find a nice big plant, go on and give it a try), there’s still plenty that can go into the ground now for harvest just a short time down the road.
The crops I’m going to list are for Central Texas gardeners. To find out what you can plant where you live, contact your local agriculture extension office.
