Michael Fracasso

Austin singer-songwriter Michael Fracasso not only has a distinctive tenor and writes compelling songs but is also the author of some tantalizing Italian dishes.

Having released his 6th studio album, Saint Monday (Little Fuji Records) 2011, Michael has supplemented his touring by performing in professional cooking schools and private homes throughout the United States. He is putting the finishing touches on a cookbook: Artist in the Kitchen/ A Brief Autobiography in Food that should come out later this year.

His first National music tour was in 1993 with Jimmy Lafave. He went on to make 2 CDs with Austin legend, Charlie Sexton and has opened for Patty Griffin most recently on her 2006 spring tour. He has performed on syndicated radio shows including World Café, Mountain Stage and Acoustic Café and has performed throughout the US, Japan and Europe.

His cooking and singing shows began in 2001 at Central Market Cooking School in Austin, TX where he is a regular. He has demonstrated his cooking on Fox morning TV in Oklahoma City and will appear at the Dreager Cooking School in San Mateo in CA later in the year.
