Festive Cocktails for the Winter Holidays

Dec 8th, 2017 | By | Category: beverages, blog, cook something, winter

It’s citrus season, which is a terrific time for making seasonal cocktails. Give the Texas Sipper or the Tito’s Sage Grapefruit Splash from Jack Allen’s Kitchen a try at your next dinner party or holiday gathering. They have similar elements, but different tastes profiles. See if your guests can discern the differences.

This one is the Jack Allen’s original cocktail, a tasty combo of savory, acidic, sweet, and floral, with a little carbonation. It’s easily one of our most popular craft cocktails. And we couldn’t have done it without Texas spirit pioneer Tito himself.

Serves 4-6

Ingredients

  • 16 sage leaves
  • 3 ounces simple syrup
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 6 ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
  • 3 ounces St-Germaine Elderflower Liqueur
  • 2-3 ruby red grapefruits, for 8 ounces juice
  • Splash or 1 ounce soda water (We like Fever-Tree)

 Directions

  1. In 24- to 28- ounce container, stir together sage and syrup.
  2. Add a scoop of ice and the next 4 ingredients.
  3. Stir and pour into tumblers.
  4. Top with splash of soda, and add a straw.
